REGISTRATION FOR THE FALL 2024 SEASON IS NOW OPEN AND WILL RUN THROUGH JULY 1, 2023. WE TAKE PLAYERS KINDERGARTEN THROUGH 9TH GRADE (NOT PLAYING IN HIGH SCHOOL)
Central Carroll Field Hockey program announces its 24th Season for girls and boys in grade K thru 9th (not playing high school) with a focus on fundamental skills, teamwork, building confidence and self-esteem.
Central Carroll Field Hockey is a member of the Maryland Youth Field Hockey League which includes recreation councils from Baltimore, Howard, Harford and Carroll Counties.
Last year, we were able to field 4 teams including a clinic play-day team. One 3-4 grade, one 5-6 teams and one 7-9 teams. We will be having one “Try It Day” on Wednesday, May 22nd from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. (shine only) for players who would like to try field hockey to see what it’s all about before they sign up for the Fall Season. We will also have "Open Fields" on Tuesday August 13th from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. for everyone who has signed up, all of these will be held at Sandymount Field 3 - the field directly above the playground towards 140. Practices will consist of 2 practices per week at Sandymount Park starting mid-August. Games are on Sunday afternoons usually b/w 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. beginning the Sunday after Labor Day. The season will run through the first weekend of November. Travel is required, half of the games are away. The Clinic team will practice one evening per week and attend several half day play days.
Volunteer coaches are needed and we offer a registration discount to our coaches. Please contact Sue DiPietro suedipietro1@gmail.com if you are interested in coaching and you can receive a discount code. Coaches will be asked to attend a pre-season meeting/training and be available for the open field nights on Tuesday August 13th. The number of teams is dependent on our coach volunteers. We are an all volunteer organization and can't operate with our volunteers!

We are getting new uniform kits and the price is included with your registration fee. Please list your player size when you register. (The uniforms tend to run small so please guess sizes according)
Each player will need to purchase/obtain a field hockey stick, a colored mouth guard (cannot be white or clear), cleats and shin guards. May player chose to wear cleats but they are not required.
We distribute our teams talent equally and we will group the 7 -8th grade girls by their future High School.
This is a recreational, teaching league and NO player will be allowed to play up or down in accordance with MYFHL rules.
